Four cars caught reversing up busy slip road on A92 leaving cops stunned

Officers in Fife were left stunned after catching four drivers reversing back up a slip road on a busy dual carriageway.

Police were called to the A92 between Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy on Thursday after reports of a broken down car. As traffic began to build up, the four drives were caught carrying out the dangerous manoeuvre.

All of the vehicles were caught on camera and the drivers will now be reported for dangerous driving.

The A92 is a major highway that runs through Fife, Dundee, Angus, Aberdeenshire, and Aberdeen City and connects with the M90 motorway.

Police Scotland road officers posted on Twitter about the incident yesterday.

They said: "Fife Road Police were dealing with a live lane breakdown between Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy yesterday on the A92.

"Four drivers clearly didn't want to wait and decided to reverse up the On Slip."

"All caught on camera and all reported for dangerous driving."
