Authorities have arrested four individuals from Cross County in connection with a shooting incident that resulted in the death of one man and injuries to at least nine others at a block party in Arkansas. The suspects, identified as Quavarius Milton, Tommie Frost, Carl Washington, and Cameron Crawford, are facing charges of first-degree murder, first-degree battery, and engaging in violent criminal group activity.
The tragic event took place around 10 p.m. on Saturday at a party in Wynne, Arkansas. According to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, two victims were also struck by vehicles during the chaos. Varian Campbell, 27, of Wynne, was pronounced dead at a hospital, while the injured individuals, aged between 24 and 49, are currently receiving medical treatment.
The suspects are currently being held at the Cross County Detention Center, and it is unclear at this time whether they have legal representation. Law enforcement officials have not disclosed the motive behind the shooting incident.
Arkansas State Police Colonel Mike Hagar commended the collaborative efforts between state police personnel and the Wynne Police Department in swiftly apprehending the suspects. Wynne, a city with a population of approximately 8,000 residents, is located in eastern Arkansas, about 45 miles west of Memphis, Tennessee.
