'Fortnite': Where to Find The Hidden Battle Star In 'The Return' Limited Time Mission Loading Screen

The Cube causes chaos, that we could already have told you. The menacing purple Polygon made its return to Fortnite: Battle Royale this week, drifting all over the map and spreading fear wherever it goes. That’s the them of this week’s limited time mission The Return, even if those limited time missions don’t quite have themes in the way the battle pass missions do. Mostly you can go about your way getting kills and finishing simple objectives while thinking about Kevin the Cube, though let’s be honest: I’m thinking about Kevin the Cube pretty much all the time. As usual, there’s a hidden battle star to be had in the loading screen that you can get from completing three of these challenges. We won’t be able to access it until Saturday when the third challenge drops, but we can already take a look at the loading screen to see where we’ll be going. Let’s go to the board:

This one is a whole lot more straightforward than some recent loading screens that offered coordinates or more oblique hints. This just has a little battle star sitting right there in the picture, on top of the pier extending into the pond. It’s a bit grayed out, but it’s easy to see once you spy it.

So that’s where we’ll be going: to the end of the pier at the pond in Fatal Fields. Here’s a map for your viewing pleasure:

You won’t be able to snag this one until you get the loading screen, but head here on Saturday to pick up your rewards so long as you’re keeping current with your challenges. We’ll update you when the star actually becomes available, but I don’t expect any major changes between now and then.

It does make me wonder if anything is going to happen to Fatal Fields, because the Cube is certainly known to cause havoc. Fatal is one of the oldest POIs on the map, so it might be time for a change. We’ll see soon.
