Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is still going strong, with the end of the season hopefully just a few weeks away. We seem to have reached the end of major new content for this season, and the weekly challenges are reflecting that, as they’re getting a tad repetitive. Still, there’s always more to be done, and you won’t hear us complaining about easy XP for tasks we’re near-experts at by this point.
Collect 100 bars at Lazy Lagoon
Gold bars are a currency you can use mid-match to hire NPCs to join your team or get your hands on unique weapons. They’re not the hardest things to come by, but getting 100 in such a small area of the map sounds like quite the challenge. Don’t worry, though, as Lazy Lagoon isn’t just any ordinary area.
This area recently returned to the map after the 21.40 Fortnite update, and it now sits where The Daily Bugle once was. Inside this broken-open volcano, you’ll find an old pirate ship filled with treasure beyond your wildest dreams. Unless those dreams involved lots of gold bars because that’s what you’ll find there. Just land there as often as possible to get your hands on the gold before everyone else.
Damage players with the Ripsaw Launcher
Someone on the Fortnite team clearly loves the Ripsaw Launcher because it has been in at least one challenge almost every week this season. It even got its own event a couple of months ago. You can find them in a chop shop north of what used to be Logjam Lumberyard but is now a strange area where the theme and appearance change every single game, for a full look at their location, check out our Ripsaw Launcher guide.
Dislodge six Runaway Boulders
This is a repeated challenge from earlier in the season, only now you have to make a few more boulders roll. These giant spherical rocks are usually found on the top of hills. The best place to find them is around the Rave Cave, as there are lots of little hills. All you need to do is go up to them and smack them around with your pickaxe a little bit, or smash into them with a vehicle.
Headshot opponents with the Prime Shotgun
If you want a sure-fire way to one-shot someone, blasting them in the face point-blank with a shotgun is about as good as you’re going to get. The Prime Shotgun has a special advantage, as the first shot in each clip does extra damage. Long story short, try your best to get close with this gun and unleashing a shot even vaguely at their head is bound to hit.
Hit opponents with the Two-Shot Shotgun
Just in case you didn’t have enough shotgun action already, you’ll need to find yourself a Two-Shot Shotgun and get blasting with it. As the name suggests, this shotgun fires two shots in a burst, so hitting people with it shouldn’t be any trouble no matter what your aiming skills are like.
Land at Groovy Grove or Fungi Farm and travel to The Glow in a single match
Groovy Grove and Fungi Farm are both in the southwest corner of the map, in the Reality Falls biome. From there you must make the pilgrimage to the centre of the map, on the coast of Loot Lake where The Collider once stood in the previous season. There’s a lot going on there, and plenty of fun opportunities to mess around – assuming you’re not being hunted down by opponents.
Tame three wildlife in a single match
Across the map, you’ll run into boars and wolves who are very keen on eating you for breakfast. Thankfully, there is a simple trick to taming them. Just jump on their back. In real life, this will leave you with fewer limbs than you started with, but in Fortnite, this immediately makes the animal your obedient companion that you can ride anywhere. Keep an eye out in the rural areas of the map and you’ll easily find three in a single game.
