Who is Trask? According to Wikipedia he’s the military scientist that made the sentinels, played by Peter Dinklage in 2014’s totally fine X-Men: Days of Future Past. And while I’m not entirely sure what he’s doing here on the Fortnite island, he’s also the subject of the Week 5 Wolverine Challenge, which asks you to find a Trask Transport Truck somewhere eon the map. It’s an old-school location challenge: easy if you know where to go, harder if you don’t. We’re here to help.
You might be able to infer the existence of the Trask Transport truck by noticing a gray area with an undiscovered landmark, if you take a look at your map. If you just want to get going as soon as possible, here’s where you’re dropping:
That’s just northwest of Doom’s Domain, near the border of Coral Castle. You can see the truck itself in the image up top: it’s actually sort of nondescript, given that the Marvel Universe is not exactly known for its reserve. I also saw a Gold XP medallion worth 15K XP when I went in, which I was able to harvest before being annihilated by another player. There’s nothing else in there, however, and there’s no cab. I think that we’re assuming that whatever this thing was transporting has since gotten out. Maybe it was Wolverine himself? It was probably Wolverine himself.
I’ve been loving the Wolverine challenges this season: they remind me of the Prisoner challenges from way back in Chapter 1, season 7, telling a small little story about a skin based on their actions in the world. Epic is doing a similar thing with the rest of the Awakening challenges, but the Wolverine challenges have the benefit of unfolding slowly, week by week. He should be arriving in the game relatively soon, so we can assume that this thing is going to crescendo in the next few weeks.
I’m also going to assume that Wolverine plays a role in bringing about the end of the season, one way or another. He seems like the central character of the pass right now, so we’ll see what happens.
