'Fortnite' Stone Head Statue Location, Where To Visit For The Road Trip Mission Challenge

Fortnite

Looking at a long list of leaked missions, here’s what we seem to be doing with this new challenge structure here in Fortnite. Most of these challenges are themed around a different season, starting here at the beginning with Season 5. The challenges are going to ask us to explore the map and visit some pivotal locations from that season, unlocking some themed cosmetics that give us a new twist on that season’s battle pass skins. So far, we’ve had to visit a dinosaur and a Drift-painted Durr Burger head, both of which were major additions when they hit the map last summer. And now, for the final step in this challenge, we’re going to find a stone head statue. Read on for map, guide and location.

These things used to be all over the map, typically with a rift nearby. Now, however, I can only find the one, so you won’t be able to go back and use any of those old–very old–lists. Here’s where you want to drop:

You’re going just north of the frozen lake where Greasy Grove used to be, and I wonder if it’s going to resurface at some point during the season. The head itself is on top of a little rock on a hill, with a chair on top of it for some reason. Here’s what it looks like:

It’s a Moai Statue from Easter Island, which are very popular in video games for some reason. Fun fact: while these are usually known for being heads that stick out of the ground, there are bodies underneath there, too. They just got covered up by earth over the years, leaving just the heads looking like they had been planted there. In some ways, sticking the head on top of the rock here in Fortnite is a little more accurate. The chair, I don’t know about.

No dances, no microchips to interact with, just go over by the head and you’ll complete the challenge. This first stage of the challenge is easy, because you can take your time with it. If you try to prestige this thing, however, it’s going to be a whole lot more difficult: you’ll have to visit the Durr Burger Head, the Dinosaur and the Statue all in one match, and that’s going to strain things without the baller in the mix.
