Fortnite’s v8.30 update has arrived with respawn vans and a handful of cosmetics, one of which will be of particular interest to some of the game’s most dedicated fans.
Epic made some fans mad because they ended up releasing the Reflex skin into the store, a skin that was formerly only available to players who had purchased a pricey graphics card bundle from NVIDIA. While (hopefully) most players weren’t buying a graphics card for hundreds of dollars just to get an underwhelming skin, it still wasn’t great to see it freely available in the store when they thought it would be theirs exclusively.
But if you do have the “OG” version of the skin from the bundle, now you have a new variant that is much, much cooler than the original. The variant is a black and red version of the original, which was blue, green and grey. It also comes with a black backpack to match. I don’t believe there are new variants of the pickaxe and glider, but I have to check.

Past that, we have our first look at the in-game model for Ruin, the Discovery skin that will be live a week from tomorrow once there are finally enough challenges to unlock him. Epic got ahead of the leaks by revealing Ruin a few days ago, but this is the first look we have at the uh, magma knight? I’m not sure what else to call him, in game.

Past this, we just have a few more leaked cosmetics that have appeared including a few different pickaxes, one of which seems to be for our battle pass banana friend.

I’ve only seen one glider week but it’s literally one of the coolest ones to date, a blue falcon that will let you soar gracefully over the map for what I assume is a legendary price tag. Worth it, if you ask me. Dragons are so season 7.

There are a few more wraps and emotes you can seek out if you really want, but it’s a small batch of leaks this week. And if you’re an NVIDIA bundle owner, log in to make sure you got the skin variant you’re supposed to.
