If ‘Fortnite’ is indeed going to drop a new map, this isn’t a terrible way of going about it. Yesterday, Epic Games started up the “Out of Time” challenges, which function a little like the Overtime challenges of yore but with a bit of a twist. Overtime challenges were traditionally just standard, play the game-style objectives, but with Out of Time Epic is taking its biggest stab at traditional narrative since we followed the Prisoner around on his tale of redemption/Volcano summoning back in Season 7. Now we’re following the Visitor around, who apparently left a bunch of audio logs scattered around the map after he arrived in the meteor back in Season 4. We’re all still trying to make sense of what he’s saying, but time to hunt for more. Here’s a map, guide and location for where to find the Visitor Tape in Moisty Palms,
For starters, we’re heading to Moisty Palms, a sort of portmanteau of Moisty Mire and Paradise Palms stuck over there in the desert biome. It’s a bit of an odd place, but you don’t need to linger if you’re only picking up this tape. Here’s where you’re dropping:
It’s a bit obscured by the point of interest name there, but you’re aiming for the top of the tall mid-century modern building towards the western part of the Paradise Palms part. Head all the way up to the top and look on top of the white brick…thing…to find the visitor tape. It looks like this:
The special gimmick here in Moisty Palms is a prop hunt thing: you turn into a random piece of scenery when you crouch, and you can stay that way until you fire. one of the more fun rift zones overall, even if I find myself blown up even if I successfully get the drop on someone. Point being: if you see a toilet or something hanging out on the roof while you look for the tape, shoot at it before it shoots back.
