We are entering the final week of Fortnite season 6, and with it comes one final set of challenges that players can use to help try to finish off their Battle Pass, or to use a week to unlock the AIM Robot Hunting Party skin, which looks to be a key figure in the arrival of a chilly season 7 a week from now.
So, what’s on the menu for this week in Fortnite? It seems like a mostly easy week, but we’ll see.
Free
- Build Structures (0/250)
- Visit a Viking ship, a camel and a crashed Battle Bus (0/3)
- Search Chests at Tilted Towers or Paradise Palms (0/7)(HARD)
Battle Pass
- Place Mounted Turrets in different matches (0/3)
- Stage 1: Land at Lazy Links (0/1)
- Complete vehicle timed trials (0/3)(HARD)
- Stage 1: Shotgun Elimination (0/1)(HARD)
Building structures is essentially a freebie unless you’re still trying to play Fortnite likes it’s PUBG after all this time. Searching chests, a multi-stage landing quest and weapon eliminations are all relatively standard, and I do think these multi-stage quests have been a good addition to the game. Remember when everyone would have to use only one gun or swarm a single area to complete them? That wasn’t great. Finally there’s mounted turrets, a new addition to the game, but one that’s undergone a lot of changes including a damage nerf, and more recently, it’s opened up the hitbox which will keep you less safe when firing, so be careful.
Elsewhere, the two “twist” challenges has players visiting certain landmarks on the map. I think that most people have to know where the Viking ship is by now, and probably the camel. But do you remember where the crashed Battle Bus is exactly? Because I don’t. Thankfully we have a guide for you to check out here that gives you the exact location of them all.
Finally we have vehicle timed trials, which I believe are a new addition as previously they were just on foot, correct? In any case, this should be pretty crazy, and I have to imagine that these spots will have a vehicle next to them already so you don’t have to find one and then drive all the way to the time trial spot. Where are they? Well, I’m glad you asked as we have a guide for this as well.
If you complete all of the above challenges, you’ll be able to hunt down the hidden secret in the loading screen which this week I believe is a banner, but I’m not 100% sure because the hidden thing is a set of coordinates, not a location like with past banners and battle stars, I’m still investigating this as we speak, and this sentence you are currently reading will be a hyperlink when I figure it out.
So, it’s been quite a season of challenges. Not my favorite, as I really have missed the treasure maps and the “search between” challenges which were fun to write guides for, and we had some really bad weeks where we had almost nothing but “do damage with X weapon” challenges. But we did have some other fun ones like target shooting and clocking high speeds for radar signs. So I guess it’s a mixed bag.
Stay tuned for season 7, when we’ll start this entire process all over again.
