Fortnite Coral Castle: Map uncovers Aquaman's hidden Atlantis

Aquaman in Fortnite (Picture: Epic Games)

The hidden underwater city of Atlantis is no longer very hidden in Fortnite – but it's called Coral Castle.

Ever since Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 3 began last month the map became completely flooded.

As the season has progressed, the water levels have been slowly receding, slowly but surely revealing once hidden locations.

The next area has finally been revealed as Coral Castle, which is undeniably Fortnite's version of Atlantis, the mythical hidden city lost somewhere underwater.

Coral Castle is now in Fortnite (Epic Games)

Coral Castle can be found on the map just north of Sweaty Sands, kind of near the plane crash site. It is also clearly intended to be the home of Aquaman, who has been featured as a legendary skin to unlock through the battle pass this season.

The castle is in a beautiful area, surrounded by waterfalls, ruins, statues, orbs and so much.

This location, which is linked to Aquaman, has been rumoured to be a map location coming eventually and now it's finally here.

Fortnite's map has changed and shifted constantly through this season and with this recent change the area nears Craggy Cliffs is now above water, the Slurpy Swamps are no so slurpy anymore as the water has gone.

Suffice it to say, there's a lot of changes to the map and according to Epic Games, this is now the 'proper level' for the water which makes way for cars to hopefully be added to the game.

In other Fortnite news, people who play the Marvel Avengers beta can earn exclusive rewards themed after the Hulk.
