Fortnite just added Hatsune Miku to Fortnite Festival. Not only that, but you can now play the mode in local multiplayer, getting us one step closer to reliving the glory days of Rock Band and Guitar Hero. For now, up to four players can play together on the same console. All of the players need to party up in the Lobby then enter the Festival Main Stage together.
Fortnite Chapter 6 is finally here, launching off with Fortnite: Demon Hunters, which completely switches up the map. There's new weapons to try out, you can now Wall Jump, and there's a whole new Battle Pass to work through.
Given that this latest season is only around halfway done, it'll be a while before we're hearing details on the next season of Fortnite. For now however, there's a whole new loot pool to try out, and a bunch of epic samurai skins to earn via the new Battle Pass. It's frequent updates like these that make Fortnite one of the best battle royale games around.
Here's everything you need to know about the process of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 ending, when the next season starts, and what to expect from Fortnite in the future.
When does the current season of Fortnite end?
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 will end on February 21, 2025 at 2AMPT. This is according to the main Battle Pass screen in-game. In addition, Epic Games stated this end date and time in a recent blog post detailing the Godzilla tie-in.
It's worth noting that some previous seasons's timings shifted by a couple of days just before the new one was supposed to arrive, so timings here are always subject to change regarding downtime periods. The best place to keep up on specific updates closer to the launch of the new season is the Fortnite Status Twitter account. We'll be sure to keep this page up to date as well.
When is the next season of Fortnite?
The next season of Fortnite has yet to be fully detailed, but we expect it to launch on February 21, 2025. This is when Chapter 6 Season 1 ends, and based on how things worked last year, things will then switch over to the new season.
What to expect from the next Fortnite season
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 only just launched at the end of 2024, so it'll be around a month before we hear about what's coming next. For now, it's worth speaking to as many NPCs as you can for story clues, and keeping an eye out for radio transmissions while driving. Once major clues start dropping, we'll dissect them here.
Fortnite Chapter 6 map changes
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 is now here, bringing an entirely new map to explore. It features large POIs like Seaport City, with large buildings that can be explored and looted. Elsewhere, you'll find large mountains, long bridges and ancient buildings. We're still getting used to it all, so make sure to land at each new location to fill out your map. It'll make getting around a lot easier in the long run.
