A new season of Fortnite is here, and with it comes a number of new challenges. One of the most significant ones released here in a week 1 is a progressive challenge that tasks players with three objectives. The first of which is to dance on top of a crown of RVs.
I genuinely could not think of where this was, as I thought that it might be a new addition to the map which arrived with the iceberg, but that isn’t the case. Rather the crown of RVs is actually on the desert on one of the mesas at the very south the map.
Go here to see where to dance in Forbidden locations. Go here to see all week 1′s challenges.
Here’s where that is on the map. It’s the mesa right above the little empty down at the very tip of the map:
Yeah, it’s pretty far down there, and a location I’m guessing practically no one visits most of the time. Here’s what it will look like as you’re flying down toward it. When you’re further away, it will look kind of weird, sort of like a stone cylinder, but once you get closer the pop-in will reveal that it’s the crown you’re looking for. Kind of a weird graphics glitch from Epic here, but it actually serves to help highlight where it is from far away.
And here’s what it will look like once you arrive. I have no idea how a bunch of cars and RVs got stuck in the ground way the hell up here, but that’s Fortnite for you. There will sometimes be a chest in the middle of the cars so I guess there are worse places to land. There is also a new zipline up there so you can get down from up high, something that was just added in season 7.
Then just bust out some dance moves and you’ll have this stage of the challenge completed. As for the next stage? Well, that asks you to dance on a metal turtle, and you can find your next guide in this chain for that right here.
I like these progressive challenges Fortnite has added in the last season, though I do miss my treasure maps, and I’m sad those went away as those were fun to write guides for. Fortnite challenges are at their best when they’re making you go interesting places and find hidden things rather than just, do damage with X weapon, so I always enjoy these.
Alright, I’m off to hunt down some more challenges, remember, here’s how you complete Stage 2: Dance on top of a metal turtle.
