Fortnite Season 9 is finally live and there are some serious changes to the map. It seems quite a bit of time has passed since the volcano erupted, leveling Tilted Towers with great balls of fire. Jonesy and Peely made their way into a bunker and Jonesy ended up surviving by eating his giant banana friend. By the time he emerges, the future is here.
Tilted Towers has been replaced by Neo Tilted, a slick, futuristic version of Fortnite’s urban center. And across the map there are now three new “Slipstreams” which players can hop in to get around the map in a brand new way.
One of these Slipstreams is at Neo Tilted, here on the map:
When you fly down to Neo Tilted, you’ll see giant futuristic-looking circular things all around the perimeter of the city. Connecting each of these you can see a wind tunnel which you simply need to fly into and proceed to traverse each of the circles as the Slipstream guides you around Neo Tilted.
Be careful with this: You actually move quite slowly, though bobbing up and down can affect your speed. As far as I can tell, players in Slipstreams will make fairly easy targets, however, which should make it fairly simple for other players to use this challenge as a great way to get some extra eliminations.
Once you’ve completed this stage of the challenge and earned 2 Battle Stars, you can move on to Stage 2. Read our guide for Stage 2 here. And don’t forget, for multi-stage challenges you need to finish your match before starting the second stage.
