We have reached the end of Fortnite season 5, with week 10 being the last week before the Cube annihilates the map…or something. That means you have one more week to cram in challenges to try to get those last few battle pass tiers.
This week, you’re being asked for find 7 jigsaw puzzle pieces in various basements, a new challenge we haven’t seen before, but sort of a throwback to when we were hunting things like gnomes around the map. Fortnite has mostly shelved these challenges in favor of things like hitting golf balls or doing ATK tricks, but it appears we’re now back to hunting random objects around the map. And that’s something you’ll probably actually need a guide for.

You may know a few basement locations already, but we’re not sure if puzzle pieces are in every basement, or just a few (Update: it seems like all of them). Here’s a map of seven known puzzle piece locations that have been found so far, which will be enough to complete the challenge. I believe you’re forming the picture of a llama when the puzzle is complete, because of course you are.
West of Shifty Shafts – There are two houses, the one to the south has a puzzle piece in the basement
In Snobby Shores – The second most north house has a basement with a puzzle piece
South of Snobby Shores – There are two houses south of Snobby, the south most one has a puzzle piece in the basement
Greasy Grove – The main restaurant in Greasy Grove has a basement with a puzzle piece
South of Greasy Grove – There is a house on a hill decently far south of Greasy Grove that barely even looks like a house, but it has a puzzle piece in the basement.
All Around Risky Reels – There are houses with basements all around Risky Reels to the north, west, south, etc. All should have puzzle pieces
Pleasant Park – There should be a puzzle piece in a basement in a house on the western edge
West of Retail Row – There is a house with a basement and puzzle piece a little west of Retail Row
So yeah, those are the basements you need to visit, and I will post more as they’re found. It does seem like every basement has a puzzle piece, so far. This should be enough to get you to complete the challenge, which is really all you need. As ever, the best way to hunt for these relatively risk free is probably going to be in 50v50, but feel free to brave it during normal games as well. Just bring a shotgun as you lurk down into those basements.
I thought maybe this was the week the LOST hatch cellar opened in the Wailing Woods, as that would be a basement, but no luck there. Happy hunting for these pieces. Hopefully this helped.
