There’s not much guesswork as to what’s coming in the next season of Fortnite: aliens are coming. We’ve got teasers, we’ve got a whole Foreshadowing questline, and everything is pointing towards aliens. So while we wait for that, it’s time to bop around the map looking for a few more items to pass the time. We recently had to find a downed black helicopter and repair some telescopes, and now we’ve got to track down some CB Radios or just one, rather, which shouldn’t take all that long. Let’s go look at the locations.
There appear to be five of these scattered around the map, all of them sort of near the edges:
You can see what you’re looking for at the top of this image: a little CB Radio that Bunker Jonesy can use to tune into hidden messages, complete with tinfoil hat for the purposes that tinfoil hats are used for. Considering what Bunker Jonesy has gone through when it comes to apocalypses, interdimensional rifts and the apparent consumption of his best friend, you really can’t blame him for being cautious on this point. This is the fiction of Fortnite, which is sort of tonally consistent why being thematically about as all over the place as it can possibly be, so really anything is possible.
So, complete this one and we’ll see what happens next: it’s clear that aliens are on their way, and I hope they show up through some sort of invasion event for the end of the season. I suppose it’s also possible that the aliens will just be the live event and will spur on the next season, which will be different, but we’ll just have to wait for that one.
