'Forshaw should be starting' - Leeds United fans react to unchanged team at Everton

Leeds United are hoping to return to winning ways this afternoon as they face Everton at Goodison Park.

The Whites will have taken plenty of positives from the way they reacted to going 3-1 down at Aston Villa as they battled back to earn a point.

Marcelo Bielsa has decided to name the same team to the one that played at Villa Park for the trip to Merseyside with Dan James leading the line again after his impressive brace.

There was talk building up to the game over whether he would opt to change the central midfield pairing as Adam Forshaw might have been preferred to either Robin Koch or Mateusz Klich.

Although, the Leeds boss decided against changes with the belief that those who rescued a draw in midweek can go one better today.

There is one change to the matchday squad as Crysencio Summerville has returned to the bench in place of Stuart McKinstry.

In response to Leeds’ announcement of the team on Twitter, supporters seemed fairly content with the starting XI. Although, a handful were questioning why Forshaw was, once again, amongst the substitutes.

Here is what some fans had to say.

@erskine_gareth said : “That team deserved to get picked again they were excellent against Villa in that second half. Forshaw possibly could have come in but I’m happy with that.”

@archieforbez wrote : “Nice, would’ve liked to see Forshaw in for Klich but I like it.”

@BenClufc added : “Forshaw should be starting. Could get ripped to pieces in midfield.”

@nigelLUFC said : “Surely Bielsa will use more substitutes than he did against Aston Villa to replace tired legs."

@BraheTyke tweeted : “Not a huge surprise. If nothing else, good that we got through 90 minutes without yet another injury. Not been too many of those matches this time!"

@uncle_yak focused on the substitutes : “Be great to see Gelhardt & Summerville come on from the bench instead of Roberts for a change. Strong starting XI considering the injuries."

@AntDickinson said : “To be fair, wouldn't change much from last time out - I might have started Forshaw. Yeah, still concerned about James as a lone striker, but at the same time he did well against Villa.”
