All Formula 1 personnel working in the paddock at Grands Prix this season will have to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 - without any exceptions.
That means drivers, team principals and all team personnel as well as media and hospitality staff will have to show proof of being fully vaccinated.
A spokesperson for Formula 1 said on Monday: “F1 will require all travelling personnel to be fully vaxxed and will not request exemptions.”
The move was agreed back in December following a meeting of the FIA’s World Motor Sport Council.
Double vaccination had already been a stipulation for all those travelling to last year’s United States Grand Prix.
The announcement is not expected to affect any of the 20 drivers on the grid with all believed to have been fully vaccinated already.
As a result of the stipulation of fully vaccinated personnel throughout the paddock, testing requirements are expected to be reduced at the 23-race calendar in 2022, which begins in Bahrain next month.
