Former WWE superstar coming to Ayrshire amid rumours of reuniting with Bray Wyatt

A former WWE superstar will be touching down in Ayrshire next month.

Joseph Ruud, better known as Erick Rowan, will battle with Sheikh El Sham at Kilmarnock's Grand Hall on December 10 for British Championship Wrestling's No Blood No Sympathy event.

The former Wyatt family member will be in town amid speculation that he could return to WWE in the near future as part of a storyline with popular Bray Wyatt.

And BCW promotor Graham McKay reckons fans are in for a treat when Erick Redbeard comes to Killie.

He told Ayrshire Live: "It was hard to pick out who to get for the fans as we've used a lot of the big names already.

"It was just by chance that I reached out to him, and he was keen to appear, I think Drew McIntyre is a selling point as he started here.

"Joseph isn't someone I thought I'd ever get due to his connection with the Wyatt family, he's a massive star.

"He was up for it after me reaching out, and that then left me with the challenge of who to put him against.

"Usually these guys would go against the likes of BT Gunn, but he's 6ft 8in so I chose Sheikh who is 6ft 4in.

"It's going to be a big fight, I don't even know if the ring will be able to contain it, they are huge!"

Graham has urged grappling fans to head along for a cracking night of value.

He said: "I am excited, I still get that buzz. I just feel bad about the cost of living that's holding people back.

"I hope it doesn't deter people too much, it's been tough on everyone so I hope people decide to head along and get some entertainment.

"It's a big deal to people, every single match on the card is mind blowing, I always book them as I'd like to see.

"The feedback I have been getting is great, people are saying 'wow', so it's fantastic value, it's a massive event.

"The way I see it is, these guys could end up in WWE one day, just look at Drew, so you should see them when you can."

Tickets for No Blood No Sympathy start at £10 per person and can be purchased here or by calling 01563 554900.
