Former WWE star headlining return of wrestling to Motherwell Concert Hall

A former WWE star is headlining the return of wrestling to Motherwell Concert Hall later this month.

Fandango, now wrestling as Dirty Dango, will be appearing at the Scottish Wrestling Alliance (SWA) show on Saturday, October 22.

The American, who famously defeated former world title holder Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 29 on his WWE debut, will be in tag team action alongside former Love Island contestant Adam Maxted when they take on Aspen Faith and Dickie Divers.

It’s the first SWA show in three years and promoter Scott Fillan can’t wait for the in-ring action to begin.

He said: “It’s great to be back, not having any shows for three years were a nightmare.

“Ticket sales have been going well, it’s always a great crowd in Motherwell.

“We always try and get some of the top stars from America over so it’s great to get Fandango over.

"Many people will remember Adam from Love Island as well so it’s exciting to bring them together as a tag team.

“It’s a family-friendly show and they’ll be plenty of matches for the crowd to enjoy.”

Other matches on the card include Jackie Polo facing Tallon Jr, Sheikh El Sham taking on rising star Derren J Blair plus a triple threat women’s match featuring Debbie Dahmer, Emersyn Jayne and Rhio.

The SWA Highland Championship will be on the line as well as DCT clashes with Timm Wylie.

Tickets for the show are available by logging onto the CultureNL website.

A small number of VIP tickets, which includes a meet and greet with the wrestlers, a signed poster and front and second row seats, are also available.
