A former high school teacher in Virginia is facing multiple charges after allegedly selling vape cartridges containing THC and nicotine to students. Kaitlyn Crescent, 28, of Alexandria, was taken into custody by the Fairfax County Police Department following incidents at Falls Church High School.
The investigation began when Child Protective Services received a referral on October 24, reporting that a teacher was selling vape cartridges to students at the school. Detectives took over the case and found that between December 2023 and June 2024, Crescent sold vape cartridges containing nicotine and THC to four students.
Crescent has been charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Distribution of a Controlled Substance on School Property, and Distribution of Tobacco/Hemp to a Minor. She has been placed on administrative leave and is no longer employed by Fairfax County Public Schools. Crescent is currently held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on a $4,000 bond.
According to her LinkedIn page, Crescent worked as a learning disabilities teacher at Falls Church High School starting in August 2022. Investigators are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward.
