Former Vikings LB Jordan Hicks agrees to terms with Browns on two-year deal

The Cleveland Browns have signed their first free agent that didn’t play for the team in 2023, as NFL rumors have expressed they have agreed to terms former Minnesota Vikings’ linebacker Jordan Hicks to a two-year deal worth $8 million.

It is a great value signing as Hicks is a well-respected player in the locker room who was a team captain last year with the Vikings.

The veteran brings a ton of experience and has had over 100 tackles for the last five years straight. Pairing someone with his skillset with Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah should improve the linebacker room. He is a rangy athlete with 300 career stop tackles over his nine-year career.

Hicks is a reliable tackler who does well in open space to prevent plays from becoming explosive plays. He isn’t coming in here to be a superstar, but you cannot have enough reliable tacklers who do their job well, and that is exactly what the Browns are getting by bringing Hicks to Cleveland.
