Former Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson made headlines on Wednesday night by endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the upcoming election. Hutchinson, who previously served as an assistant to then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, expressed her strong support for Harris during an interview with MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell.

During the interview, Hutchinson emphasized her decision not to vote for Donald Trump again and her intention to cast her vote for Harris and Tim Walz. She highlighted the importance of policy and stated that she is proud as a conservative to support Harris in the election.

Hutchinson gained attention earlier for her testimony before the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol. Her revelations about the chaotic and lawless environment in the Trump White House were further detailed in a book she released last year.

While Hutchinson acknowledged that she may not agree with Harris on all issues, she expressed hope for finding common ground. She criticized Trump and Sen. JD Vance, stating that they cannot be trusted to uphold the rule of law or enact responsible policies.

In addition to endorsing Harris, Hutchinson revealed her plans to vote for down-ballot Democrats in an effort to move past the Trump era. She joins a growing list of Republicans who have publicly supported Harris, including former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, Jim McCain, son of late Sen. John McCain, former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, former Vice President Dick Cheney, and former Rep. Liz Cheney.

Later today, Harris is scheduled to campaign with Liz Cheney in Ripon, Wisconsin, the birthplace of the GOP.
