Madeleine Westerhout, who previously served as former President Donald Trump's personal secretary in the White House, testified on Friday about Trump's multitasking habits when it came to signing documents.
According to Westerhout, when she would receive mail, she would leave it on Trump's desk for him to review and sign. If Trump was in the office, he would sign the necessary documents without thoroughly reviewing them.
Westerhout mentioned that Trump would sign a wide variety of items, such as proclamations, letters, memos, and more. This task of signing documents would reportedly occupy a significant portion of his day, with Westerhout noting that he would sign everything that required his signature.
Furthermore, Westerhout revealed that she had witnessed Trump signing checks without closely examining them on occasions when he was occupied with phone calls or meetings. While Trump would not sign checks during meetings with top foreign leaders, Westerhout emphasized that he would sign checks and other documents while meeting with White House staff or discussing scheduling matters.
