Former This Morning co-host Fern Britton shares post ignoring Phillip Schofield tell-all interview

Phillip Schofield's former This Morning co-host has shared her first social media post since his tell-all interview. Fern Britton used to present the daytime TV show with Mr Schofield up until 2009 when she unexpectedly quit.

Just last week, before the BBC interview was released, Fern posted a Tweet that some thought was a dig at her former co-worker. She wrote: "Unexpected calls from old mates are so lovely.

"Just had the loveliest catch up with @EamonnHolmes. I think we have known each other since the 80’s when we were babies. Shooting the breeze."

Eamonn Holmes, another former This Morning co-host, has publicly spoken out against Mr Schofield on more than one occasion. He did a tell-all interview with GB News last week talking about his time on the show with Phillip Schofield.

And on May 29 he tweeted: "Schofield has just put out a delusional statement. Like Holly he puts it on Insta Stories so if it goes wrong there is no record after 24 hrs. I'm reluctant to give the liar any more publicity but believe me Pip if u r looking for a fight, you have picked on the wrong person!"

Yesterday morning Fern Britton took to Twitter again but choose not to speak about the ongoing situation and instead talked about a TV show. She said: "Just watched the final #TedLasso with cuppa in bed.

"Tears rolling down my face but such a smile in my heart. What a show what a cast what a story."

Mr Schofield stepped away from ITV last week after he admitted to having an affair with a colleague. He opened up about the relationship in an interview with Amol Rajan, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The 61-year-old denied accusations he groomed the young man and issued an apology to anyone impacted by his actions. He said: "I would say to everyone, to my family, my friends, my work colleagues, the public, to ITV, my management company, to everyone that I lied to, that I am desperately sorry."
