DJ Scott Mills has revealed that Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers sometimes pretend they're happy with their celebrities on the BBC show. The former BBC Radio 1 presenter appeared on the show in 2014 and danced with Joanne Clifton.
Scott's time on Strictly saw him come 11th in the competition after being eliminated in week 6. The DJ's partner, Joanne, would win the competition two years later with Ore Oduba. Scott, speaking on Radio 5 Live earlier this year, said: "On my series there were some dancers who weren’t happy with their celebrities. But it was never seen on screen."
Scott's former Radio 1 co-host Chris Stark commented: "One of the things that gets me is when the contestant meets the dancer for the first time and they both have to pretend that they would have chosen each other."

Chris added: "The chances that every contestant has been linked with exactly the right dancer and that dancer has been linked with exactly the right contestant is mind-boggling. You have got more chance of winning the lottery. It’s the lying, going: 'You are exactly who I wanted."
