The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t see the value in trying to re-sign safety Terrell Edmunds last offseason. Edmunds ended up signing with the NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles, where he must have thought he would have it made. But his dream job was short-lived as it came out on Monday that the Eagles had included Edmunds in a trade with the Tennessee Titans.
The Eagles and Titans swapped draft picks and safeties with Edmunds headed to Tennessee and Philadelphia getting an upgrade with Kevin Byard.
Edmunds appeared in all seven of Philadelphia’s games in 2023 but only started two. He racked up 28 total tackles. It isn’t clear if Edmunds will start for Tennessee or will be a reserve.
During his time with the Steelers, we always felt like Edmunds was a great fit and somewhat underrated, but he didn’t seem to have a place with the Eagles. We hope he can turn things around with Tennessee.
