Earlier this year, inside linebacker Myles Jack retired from the NFL after being released by the Philadelphia Eagles. However, Jack has no unretired, cleared waivers and according to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport, is talking to the Pittsburgh Steelers about rejoining the team via the practice squad.
Jack spent 2022 with the Steelers and led the team with 104 total tackles. Jack came over from the Jacksonville Jaguars to be the replacement for Ryan Shazier. Jack was good but didn’t have the splash plays the team had hoped for and so the Steelers chose to move on from him along with the rest of the inside linebacker depth chart.
Reunion? The #Steelers and LB Myles Jack have mutual interest in Jack joining the team’s practice squad now that he’s cleared waivers, sources say. With the injury to Kwon Alexander, and Jack un-retiring, worth keeping an eye on. pic.twitter.com/VErO7FlY4D

The Steelers have announced no official roster moves yet but we expect Mykal Walker and Tariq Carpenter to be called up to the 53-man roster leaving spots on the practice squad open, should Jack want to return.
