Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell’s interview on the Steel Here podcast was quite illuminating. Bell shared a ton of things including how he wants to retire a Steeler and he made a mistake by not re-signing with the team.
But perhaps the least surprising and maybe least relevant bit of information sure to get some folks fired up is when he admitted he used to smoke weed before games.
“Looking back on this, like bro, like, that’s what I did,” said Bell. “When I was playing football, I smoked bro. like even before the games I’d smoke, you know, I’d go out there and run for 150 (yards) two (touchdowns).”
Honestly, the fact people get worked up about this is beyond me aside from the fact that it is against the league rules. Bell was a tremendous player during his time with the Steelers and he was hardly the only guy on this team or any other team to do this. Should this matter to the fans or even the NFL?
