Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara has apologised to Arsenal starlet William Saliba after previously claiming that the club should sell him this summer.
“Who?” O’Hara said on TalkSPORT when asked about Saliba earlier this month. “I mean you’re asking me about players, I have no interest in Arsenal whatsoever.
“If you have loaned him out and he has been there three seasons, you’ve loaned him out twice (then) he obviously ain’t (sic) good enough. Get rid of him.”

The Frenchman then went on to deliver a stunning man-of-the-match display as Mikel Arteta's side defeated Crystal Palace 2-0 in their Premier League opener before bouncing back from an unfortunate own goal to help his side beat Leicester City 4-2 during his Emirates Stadium debut at the weekend. Now, O’Hara has completely U-turned on his original comments, praising the 21-year-old's sky-high potential.
Speaking about the former Marseille loanee on talkSPORT, he said: “I wasn’t sure of him because he’d gone out on loan, I hadn’t seen him play loads. I was thinking maybe he wasn’t up to scratch to play for this team.
"And I’ll apologise, I absolutely got that wrong. He is the real deal, what a signing.
“What a player he is and I know that he’s young but he could be sensational. He’s still got things to work on, like his positioning, but he looks really, really good.”
