Former Spartan Lourawls ‘Tum Tum’ Nairn, Bahamas close to Olympics berth

A former Spartans’ guard could find himself in the Olympics later this month.

Lourawls “Tum Tum” Nairn is a member on the Bahamas national team that is now just one win away from qualifying for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The Bahamas beat Lebanon on Saturday to reach the qualifying title game against Spain on Sunday, where a win would send the Bahamas to its first-ever Olympics.

Nairn played nearly 12 minutes in Saturday’s win over Lebanon and recorded two rebounds and one assist.

Check back with Spartans Wire tomorrow to see if Nairn and Bahamas beat Spain to advance to the Olympics.
