Former sex worker made famous by Hugh Grant scandal pictured on drugs charge

A former sex worker who shot to fame after she was caught carrying out a sex act on actor Hugh Grant in 1995 has been pictured after being hit with drug charges.

A new mugshot shows Divine Brown at Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, moments after an office discovered suspected cocaine inside the woman's body.

The find has left the 53-year-old now facing up to 30 years in prison if found guilty.

Divine was photographed by deputies after being arrested on suspicion of battery and cruelty to children.

After being handcuffed and taken to jail, she underwent a mandatory strip search before she was set to be placed in a cell.

Her arresting officer, Chance Gilbert, said she was searched and police discovered ‘suspected cocaine’ hidden inside her.

The cop then slapped Divine with further possession of drugs and smuggling suspected cocaine into a jail charges.

He’d also stated she was “believed to be intoxicated to the aroma of alcohol permeating from her body,” as she “seemed to be intoxicated”.

The mugshot, taken in the early hours of Valentine’s Day this year, came 27 years after she and Grant had theirs taken by police on June 27, 1995.

They had been arrested by police in Los Angeles after catching Divine performing oral sex on him in his car.

Cops were drawn to his convertible white BMW because the brake lights kept flashing “on and off”... “on/off”... “on/off“.

Grant, now 62, did not contest the indecent conduct charges.

He was sentenced to two years probation, ordered to pay £1,065 and complete an AIDS education programme.

Divine was charged with lewd conduct, to which she pleaded no contest.

In addition to being ordered to attend an AIDS class and perform five days of community service, she was fined £1,037 for parole violations and sentenced to 180 days in jail.
