A former school resource officer in Washington state is at the center of a disturbing case involving the alleged murder of his ex-wife and girlfriend, as well as the abduction of a young boy. Elias Huizar, the suspect in question, is currently the subject of an Amber Alert issued for 1-year-old Roman Huizar, who is believed to be in danger.
The Washington State Patrol has indicated that Huizar may be attempting to flee to Mexico, and is traveling in a silver 2009 Toyota Corolla with Washington license plates CBZ4745. Authorities have linked him to the deaths of his ex-wife and girlfriend, although their identities have not been disclosed to the public.
The investigation began when police responded to a shooting at Wiley Elementary School, where a woman was found dead. Subsequent inquiries led to the discovery of a second homicide victim at Huizar's residence. The suspect, who was previously charged with second-degree rape, is considered armed and dangerous, with law enforcement warning that he may pose a continued threat.
Huizar, who had been employed as a school resource officer, had a history of working in law enforcement. He joined the Yakima Police Department in 2014 and later transitioned to a role as a school resource officer in 2018. His abrupt departure from the city of Yakima in February 2022 coincided with his prior arrest on rape charges.
The tragic events surrounding Elias Huizar have shocked the community and raised concerns about public safety. Authorities are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts or the missing child to come forward as they work to resolve this harrowing situation.
