Former RTE presenter Gareth O'Callaghan is in hospital after a fall his wife has revealed.
Paula O'Callaghan took to social media to give an update and said that Gareth will remain in hospital until the New Year after falling last week. She said: "My wonderful Husband @GarethOCal had a freak accident last week, he has been in Hospital since and will be until the New Year. Today, I’m giving my 35th pint of blood as it’s so important to give back."
Paula did not give any details about what happened but it is well known that Gareth was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy back in 2018. The neurological disorder causes gradual damage to nerve cells in the brain and affects balance, movement and the autonomic nervous system.
