Gareth O'Callaghan will return to radio this weekend after a ten week recovery following a horror car crash.
The Dubliner and his family were involved in a collision in Cork City in March. Gareth spent six weeks in hospital and has since been recovering at home.
In an update to his fans today, the former RTE DJ said that his recovery is slow but he expects returning to his radio show on Ireland's Classic Hits will help him. "Some great news to share with you this afternoon," he wrote.

"At long last, I will be back on air on Saturday morning at 10am on Ireland's Classic Hits so I really hope you can join me. Recovery is slow but I know being back on the radio show will help to move things along. Music is like good medicine.
"Ten weeks on, and at last the Spring seems to be slowly throwing on a summer stretch. Plenty of sunshine (I hope) and good music on the cards this coming Saturday morning. It will be fantastic being back on air at last."
While in hospital, Gareth expressed gratitude "for all the kindness" shown to his family since the crash. He said: "Thank you for all the kind comments in recent weeks, and to those of you who have sent handwritten cards, Mass bouquets, novenas, books, poetry, and also the Spotify playlists.
"I am genuinely so grateful for all the kindness shown to us in so many ways during these past five challenging weeks. Thank you again to all of the staff here at the South Infirmary, SIVUH, who have been fantastic with their support and kindness since I arrived here."
