Former Hamilton and Rangers winger David Templeton has revealed he could lace up his boots again - just months after calling time on his career.
The 33-year-old is now a youth coach at Accies with injury problems proving too much to overcome.
He started the 2021/22 season as a key part of Hamilton's plans during their first term back in the Scottish Championship but retired in November.
There's enjoyment found in coaching the next generation of South Lanarkshire talent but the former Rangers star has also had a positive diagnosis on the injury that forced him out of action.
It could allow him to move back into the part-time field and attentions now turn to finding a club.
Templeton made his name at Stenhousemuir and Hearts before a 2012 move to Rangers, where the wideman spent four years. His career ended with two spells at Accies, sandwiched between a stint at Burton Albion.
He told Edinburgh Live : "I think I may look to go back part-time so I need to manage it with that in terms of hopefully getting back and playing.
"So I will need to make sure it works in with that as well.
"The injury that I retired with might actually be something different from what I initially thought so it might not be as bad as I first thought, so I could potentially get back to part-time football.
"I am going to look into it just now. If I can, I would do that. The hope is it is not as bad as first feared and I can get back playing.
"Then I will have to put myself out there and see if anybody wants me."
