Steven Gerrard has landed his first job since he was given the axe by Aston Villa.
But the former Rangers manager is not back in the dugout this time around. He's landed a new position as a brand ambassador for M88 Mansion for the World Cup. The global tournament gets underway in a matters of days as the bid for glory begins in Qatar.
Gerrard - who was replaced by Giovanni van Bronckhorst following his Ibrox exit - was sacked by the English Premier League club earlier this season with the Villa Park side struggling towards the relegation spots. It was a nightmare start to the campaign with former Arsenal boss Unai Emery the new man in the role.

Liverpool and England hero Gerrard has been linked with a number of jobs as he seeks his next adventure in management, including a return to Rangers, with Van Bronckhorst under huge pressure following a poor run of results and performances. The Light Blues have dropped points at home to Livingston and away at St Mirren while they also suffered defeat at St Johnstone in recent weeks to fall nine points behind Celtic in the title race.
But any talk of a return to management has been put to one side with Gerrard taking up a new role which he admits he couldn't be more excited about starting.
He said: "I am delighted to join M88 Mansion as their brand ambassador for the World Cup. I couldn’t be more excited to share my experiences from my time on the field, especially my views and opinion to the Asian sports fans regarding the upcoming World Cup.”
