Radio presenter Chris Moyles was the first celebrity to appear on this year's series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! During his introductory interview, the 48-year-old shared his hopes for appearing on the ITV series.
"People are going to see lovely Chris Moyles. 'Wow, he's so much nicer than I thought he would be. He's not an a***hole," he said ahead of his appearance. During the launch show, Chris and Love Island's Olivia Attwood were voted Jungle VIPs, whilst fellow celebrities Charlene White, Jill Scott, Babatunde Aléshé were forced to face the terrifying Ledge. Earlier this week, filming pictures proved that comedian Babatunde struggled with the first challenge. You can read more about that here.
Despite being voted VIPs, Chris and Olivia did not have it easy as they were made to jump out of a helicopter into the jungle. Ahead of doing so, he said: "Pretty terrified by the whole thing. To be honest with you, I'd rather be in the pub or anywhere else."
Of joining I'm A Celeb, Chris said: “If people are expecting what they hear on the radio, then they had better prepare themselves for a much quieter, sensitive Christopher Moyles. The radio version is a very turned up version of me, but hopefully if I can bring some humour to the camp, then it will make everyone in the camp feel at ease.”
I'm A Celeb will continue on Monday, November 7 at the same time although it will end at 10:30pm, meanwhile it starts at the slightly later time of 9.15pm on Tuesday, November 8. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
