Recent reports have shed light on the actions of Thomas Matthew Crooks, the individual who attempted to assassinate former President Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Crooks, who was shot dead by Secret Service agents after firing five rounds, had informed his employer that he needed the day off on Saturday due to 'something to do'.
Despite his unemployment status in 2020, Crooks had been working as a dietary aide at Bethel Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The center's administrator, Marcie Grimm, stated that Crooks had a clean background check and had performed his job satisfactorily.
Following the shooting incident, investigators discovered a newer model phone and a gray 12-button remote transmitter near Crooks' body.
