Former President Trump Denies Involvement In Project 2025

Former U.S. President Trump hosts a campaign rally, in Rome, Georgia

Former President Donald Trump has recently distanced himself from Project 2025, claiming he has no involvement with it. He stated on Truth Social that he has not seen the project, does not know who is leading it, and asserts that it is unrelated to his Republican Platform. However, a review has revealed that approximately 140 individuals who previously worked in the Trump administration are connected to Project 2025.

Project 2025 is perceived by conservatives as a potential blueprint for Trump's second-term transition. It is managed by former Trump administration officials and encompasses various policy priorities that align with Trump's views, particularly regarding immigration enforcement and restructuring the federal workforce to facilitate the dismissal of civil servants and career officials.

Despite these familiar themes, Project 2025 also includes contentious proposals that Trump has not publicly addressed. These proposals involve banning pornography, reversing the federal approval of the abortion pill mifepristone, excluding certain contraceptives from coverage mandated by the Affordable Care Act, and imposing restrictions on transgender individuals seeking to transition.
