Former President Trump criticized President Biden for missing the opportunity to mourn slain New York police officer Jonathan Diller, who was fatally shot during a traffic stop in Queens. Trump attended Diller's wake, emphasizing the importance of honoring law enforcement. He expressed concern over the country's perceived decline and stressed the need for swift action to address the situation.

During the same time, Biden was at a Democratic fundraising event in New York City, drawing criticism from Trump for not showing support for the police. Trump highlighted his strong backing of law enforcement and suggested that Biden's political base might hinder his ability to do the same.

Diller, a 31-year-old NYPD officer, left behind a wife and young son. Trump praised the Diller family's strength and described Jonathan as a hero. He condemned the incident as a brutal murder and called for a restoration of law and order in the country.

While Biden did not have private communications with Diller's family, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre expressed condolences on behalf of the President. She affirmed Biden's longstanding support for law enforcement and commitment to providing resources for their crucial work.

Tunnel to Towers announced it would pay off the mortgage for Diller's wife, offering support to the grieving family. The tragic loss of Officer Diller has sparked discussions about the importance of honoring and protecting those who serve in law enforcement.
