Former President Barack Obama recently appeared on a basketball-focused podcast to encourage young people, especially young men, to exercise their right to vote. During his appearance on 'The Young Man & the Three' hosted by Indiana Pacers player Tyrese Haliburton, Obama emphasized the importance of voting, stating that it is not a difficult task.

Obama highlighted the impact of civic engagement by referencing his own presidency, noting that while he did not solve all societal issues, his administration was able to provide health insurance to 50 million previously uninsured individuals, ultimately saving lives and improving well-being. He also commended the current Biden-Harris administration for its efforts to reduce prescription drug costs.

Expressing concern over voter apathy among young people, Obama questioned the logic of allowing older generations to determine their future while neglecting to participate in the democratic process. He urged young individuals to take responsibility for shaping their own destinies by actively participating in elections.

Regarding his successor, Donald Trump, Obama criticized the former president's self-serving agenda and lack of dedication to the well-being of ordinary citizens. He emphasized the need for the country to define its values and highlighted the importance of inclusivity and mutual support within the American community.

Obama underscored the principles of fairness and shared responsibility, citing initiatives such as the Affordable Care Act and ongoing healthcare efforts under the Biden-Harris administration as examples of policies aimed at promoting equality and opportunity for all Americans.
