On Tuesday, Carter's funeral procession moved north to Washington, D.C., where he will lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda. A state funeral is scheduled for Thursday at the National Cathedral, with members of the public invited to pay their respects in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday.
All living former presidents have been invited to attend Carter’s funeral on Thursday at 10 a.m., with President Biden expected to deliver a eulogy during the service.
