Former President Bill Clinton, 78, was admitted to Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC, on Monday afternoon for testing and observation after developing a fever. His spokesman, Angel Urena, confirmed that the former president is in good spirits and hopes to be home by Christmas.
Clinton, who had quadruple bypass heart surgery in 2004 and two stents inserted in 2010, was at his home in Washington when he was taken to the hospital. This is not the first time Clinton has faced health issues, as he was hospitalized in 2021 for an infection that spread to his bloodstream.
Despite his health challenges, Clinton has remained active, particularly on the campaign trail this fall and during his book tour for his latest release, 'Citizen: My Life After the White House.' His robust travel schedule has kept him engaged with the public even as he faces medical concerns.
