A former police officer from Runcorn has been charged with offences including conspiracy to commit burglary and money laundering.
Stephanie Heaps, 30, who previously served with Greater Manchester Police (GMP) in Bolton, was charged with two counts of misconduct in a public office, conspiracy to commit burglary, money laundering and intentionally encouraging or assisting the commission of an either-way offence, the Manchester Evening News reports.
A GMP spokesperson said misconduct proceedings in relation to the 30-year-old, of Runcorn, are due to start after the criminal proceedings.

Six other people have also been charged:
Leon (aka Layten) Ramsden, 33, of HMP Parc, is charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, money laundering, three counts of without authority possessing inside a prison a mobile device and being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.
Joanne Campbell, 46, of Bolton, is charged with money laundering and intentionally encouraging or assisting the commission of an either-way offence.
Lee Ramsden, 50, of Bolton, and Clifford McCarthy, 33, of Bolton, were charged with money laundering.
Thomas Barrass, 26, of Bolton, and Philip Markland, 38, of Bolton, were charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.
All defendants except Ramsden who is in police custody are due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 22, and have been bailed.
