Corey Bojorquez, who punted for the Green Bay Packers during the 2021 season, has found a new home in free agency. He signed with the Cleveland Browns on Monday.
The Browns are the fourth team in two seasons for Bojorquez, who was traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the Packers last August. He punted 53 times for the Packers in 2021. He averaged 46.5 yards per punt and produced a league-best 82-yard punt, the second-longest in team history.
The Packers signed former Bears punter Pat O’Donnell in free agency. General manager Brian Gutekunst pointed to consistency – both as a punter and holder – as the main reason for signing O’Donnell over Bojorquez, who struggled in the cold and had issues holding for Mason Crosby in 2021.
The Packers have had a new punter each of the last three seasons. O’Donnell joins Bojorquez and JK Scott, who is now with the Los Angeles Chargers.
