In today’s world of college athletics, it’s not uncommon to see players hit the transfer portal. It can be for a variety of reasons from playing time to just wanting to be closer to family. With the plethora of talent that Ohio State brings in each year, it has become expected that some will leave for what they see as greener pastures.
It was the case for former four-star receiver, Kaleb Brown after seeing the writing on the wall. Brown entered the transfer portal and somewhat surprisingly headed for the cornfields of Iowa in the spring of 2023. Brown has now announced that he’ll redshirt the rest of the 2024 season and enter the transfer portal once again.

Brown appeared in 11 games with the Hawkeyes in 2023 recording 22 receptions for 215 yards and a touchdown. He also ran the ball nine times for 54 yards. This year Brown couldn’t seem to find a place in Iowa’s revamped offense appearing in only three games, catching one pass for 18 yards.
