Former Ohio State QB Kenny Guiton named assistant coach for Louisiana Tech

Kenny G is going to continue making sweet music in the coaching profession.

On Monday, Louisiana Tech announced former Ohio State quarterback Kenny Guiton as the new outside wide-receivers coach. This after Guiton spent two years at the University of Houston as the wide-receivers coach there.

We’re not sure why there’s an “outside” wide-receivers position, but the bottom line is that Guiton has been tabbed by head coach Skip Holtz because of his ability to understand offenses, and because of his history leading a dynamic wide-receiving group in Houston.

“I am excited to bring someone in with the energy, enthusiasm and experience of Kenny Guiton,” said Holtz. “He is very knowledgeable of the game having been a quarterback and has now coached receivers for a number of years. He understands the offense, so I am excited to have him join the staff and be a part of our program.”

Now, let me take this moment to reflect upon why Guiton will always be remembered in Columbus.

Congratulations to Guiton on the new role.
