Former Ohio State QB gets intriguing move within rival Big Ten school

Former Ohio State football quarterback Kenny Guiton is moving positions within Wisconsin. Guiton was the program’s wide receiver coach, a position he had held at numerous other programs like Houston, Colorado State, Arkansas and Louisiana Tech.

However, he is now going to be the Badgers QB coach, which seems like a promotion for the former Buckeye. Guiton played at Ohio State from 2009-2013.

He then played for the Los Angeles KISS and Buffalo Bills in 2014 before eventually taking his talents to the coaching ranks. Guiton was at the Bills minicamp but never earned an actual contract.

That said, here’s the breaking of the news via Pete Thamel.

Guiton had a solid career for Ohio State, redshirting in 2019. He didn’t get much playing time in 2010 or 2011, but he did find action in both 2012 and 2013. In that last season, he threw for 749 yards and 14 touchdowns, rushing for another 330.

That said, Guiton was at Ohio State as a player when Badgers head coach Luke Fickell was there as a coach. Fickell was in Columbus from 2002 to 2016 and as a graduate assistant in 1999 as well. However, he was then on the defensive side of the ball.
