Former Notts County defender Ben Turner has been appointed assistant manager at Ilkeston Town, after Martin Carruthers' contract was cancelled by the club.
The decision comes months after the 50-year-old guided them to the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands title, but leaves them after gaining four points from their opening six games of the season.
And the club have announced that former Nottingham Forest midfielder Jamie Ward will take interim charge ahead of their home fixture against St. Ives Town this weekend, with Turner appointed as his assistant.

Both Ward and Turner made the switch to the New Manor Ground last year following a spell with National League North side, Buxton FC.
The pair have played for over 20 clubs between them over their careers, with Turner enjoying a two-year spell at Meadow Lane, making 39 appearances and scoring one goal.
And their experience of playing in the Premier League and Championship will offer a lot to a struggling Ilkeston side, even if their appointments are temporary.
In a statement released by the club following Carruthers' departure, it read: "The club can confirm that manager Martin Carruthers’ contract has been cancelled by mutual consent.
"Carruthers took over as manager in November 2019 and guided us to promotion from NPL Division One Midlands as champions earlier this year. Assistant manager Wayne Hallcro will also be leaving the club.
"Chairman and owner Dave Hilton said: I wish to thank Martin for his hard work and success at the club, a particular highlight being the league title win last season.
“I have huge amounts of respect for him as a person and a coach and I wish him the best of luck for the future. The same applies to Wayne to whom I also express my thanks.”
"Current Ilkeston player Jamie Ward will take interim charge of the team, assisted by Ben Turner."
