Former Nottingham Forest defender in line for Premier League transfer after miserable loan deal

Former Nottingham Forest loan signing Loic Bade could be set for a summer move back to the Premier League.

Bade, 23, spent the first half of the season at the City Ground on loan from Rennes but was kept out of the side in favour of more established players with Forest looking to bed in 22 new signings.

His loan was cancelled in January as Forest instead signed Felipe, with Bade moving to Sevilla where he has found regular game time and flourished.

Sevilla have a £10m option to buy the player but, according to The Mirror, they may not be able to afford him with winning the Europa League their only path to European football next season.

Bade helped them move on step closer to that goal by scoring against Manchester United this week. However, if they fall short of lifting the trophy, Premier League clubs could be keen to swoop with Spurs said to be interested in a permanent deal.

Earlier this week, a report by Estadio Deportivo said the Reds had also agreed a fee of £10m to sign him permanently. Forest also paid £800,000 to sign him on loan and also parted with £300,000 to terminate his loan.
